In recent days, various websites and tech blogs around the world have posted information of Facebook on iPhone and iPad caused energy drain, which is a unintelligible thing, so this social network had to solve the problem. Many sources blamed Facebook for taking advantage of iOS mechanism to not be pushed down to the background of the operating system, so they can continue to update data even when Background App Refresh is turned off. Until today, Facebook has released a new update for the iOS smartphones. While the update notification did not mention of the annoying energy drain error, the technical director of Facebook confirmed that the new version will fix those 2 terrible errors which caused unusual energy drain. The first error was mentioned is CPU spin, which made the Facebook app drain more energy and the update fixed it completely. The second error is management method of sessions with the sound of Facebook app. The director said that if you leave the app during a video, the sound of video on Facebook still continues, which keep the app on the open session instead of being put down to the background in the standard of iOS design. According to the director, the new update will stop the sound from running under background and fix the error. Also in the post, he confirmed the Location History function is not related to unusual energy drain of Facebook. He also apologized for the inconvenience that those errors caused for users, also stated that Facebook always determined to improve the battery life of Facebook on iOS smartphones. However, some experts advise users to turn off Facebook completely after each session by tapping devices, choosing multitasks and swiping the current Facebook session out from the running apps on your phone. Also, always notice if you are scrolling new feeds for too long because of a new frozen error.
