The biggest differences between Mac and PC

Mac and PC are the two different sides, people even call them the archenemy of each other. Although the market share of PC and Windows is quite large now, but it’s also hard to say that Mac is losing in the battle of computers. Because each product has its own strength and weakness. We should take a look to find out these differences.
Design
Apple is always proud of their design philosophy in each product which is a perfection. From the tiniest detail to the organization of inside components – Apple always wants them to be the most pleasantly beautiful.
But Microsoft is also catching up this trend.
Microsoft has made a new move in design with their new product which is Surface Pro and Surface Book. Especially the crossed laptop Surface Book which is highly evaluated about the design with impressive tiny detail such as the hinge with a special movement mechanism.
Other laptop manufacturers such as Dell or Asus also change their perspective about the look of products. Nowadays, users not only care about inside performance but outside design is also a very important factor. Thereby, computer manufacturers have to change to catch up with Apple.
Mac is often more expensive than Windows
In fact, products of Apple always have a higher price than other manufacturers. So it’s not a surprise that the cheapest product of Apple which is Macbook Air with the price of $899. Meanwhile, an average laptop running Windows with the same configuration is about $500, of course, we exclude the case of Surface Book.
PC has better performance for gamers to play
Gamers like Windows than Mac, it is a fact that we can not deny. Because PC with Windows operating system can easily to be improved hardware and more incompatible with most kinds of games. Meanwhile, Mac can not be improved its hardware easily. Except you want to spend a lot of money to buy another Mac with higher configuration, then your current delicate Macbook can not stand those hardcore games. But, it is not a reason for gamers who also love Mac to use to against PC, it’s just a fact that they need to accept.

Smartphone that has the power of PC

Can you believe that there is a smartphone that can compete with Surfacebook and iPad Pro?
Big technology manufacturers are with the trend of turning tablet into PC, such as Surfacebook of Microoft. By improving processing performance of tablet and equiping a physical keyboard, these tablets are fully capable to replace computers and laptops.
However, bringing a big screen tablet with a physical keyboard to replace laptop is not really different. Then why don’t we bring the processing performance and power of a laptop to put on a smaller device, such as a smartphone?
That is the exact same thing the research group Nurve wants to make it comes true, a smartphone with the power of computers. This research group launched a campaign for their future smartphone.
It can runs on Windows 10, the operating system on PC not the Windows 10 Mobile for mobile. That also means this phone can run any softwares from Office word to photo editing software like Photoshop and replace the computer as well as your laptop. This smartphone is equiped with 5.4 inches screen, processor Intel 64 bit with an architectural like chips in a computer processor. It has 3 different versions, including standard version, S version and a Pro version with different configuration. And like the current super hybrid products like the Surface tablet or iPad Book Pro, it is also equiped a rear base allowing it to stand, a stylus and a detachable physical keyboard. That was all the information that the development team announced in its project and it’s also quite strange that they did not mention the battery capacity and price. And it is hard to determine the performance of this smartphone when running intensive applications like Photoshop or gaming.
However, the developers confirmed that performance can be equivalent with Surface 3, if it is true, is also very impressive indeed. They also said that if the amount to reach $ 1 million, they will continue to develop it with the ability to run dual-boot both operating systems.

Quick charger will top up the game of improving lithium battery life

Quick charger will top up the game of improving lithium battery life
Many best smartphones have quick charge technology such as Oppo and Galaxy… However, mobile manufacturers tend to improve this technology constantly that helps  lithium battery to charge at its best.
Recently, a charger company released a new generation of quick charge technology which allows 10 times faster charging than normal ones. Will a battery of 600 mah, it only takes 2 minutes of a quick charger to charge nearly 70% of lithium battery life. Meanwhile, with a lithium battery of 3000 mah, it only takes 5 mins to charge it up to 50%. Certainly, quick charge technology is upgraded quickly just because the cost is lower than researchers for a new generation of a lithium battery, not to mention of improving battery technology is still struggling.
Virtual assistant is as good as human
As before, a virtual assistant can only do simple tasks on smartphones such as answering commands with a simple voice, making calls, sending emails, taking notes… But next year, things will be a lot different. Virtual assistants will grow up in 2016 due to the ability to react in the surrounding context. Based on the data model of the device, virtual assistant on your phone can gather information and feedback, advice even when the employer is not required. Virtual Assistant will prompt for your appointment, keep in mind the daily commute, or simply a self-congratulatory message sent to someone's birthday.
Era of mobile payment
Since Apple has started the mobile payment war with Apple Pay, many of their opponents have begun their revenge. First thing is payment service named Samsung Pay, it was operated in Korea at first, but it has been released in many other markets currently. Not for long after that, Google introduced Android Pay, the payment service which is open to all Android smartphones. Not to be outdone, LG also recently launched LG Pay and services in cooperation with a number of credit card companies in Korea, even a company specializing in the manufacture of Swiss watches recently released solvency mobile computing with the clock named Swiss made.

New technology helps smartphones to have 4K resolution display using only software

Currently, the common tasks on smartphones such as watching videos, pictures, web surfing... 4K resolution display seems to be wasteful, but it’s the basis for virtual reality technology’s development. A few months ago, Sony has introduced the first smartphone using 4K resolution display of the world. However, because the battery technology has not developed so the Japanese manufacturer only allows their flagship to display 4K when watching high-quality videos and images. With other normal tasks such as web surfing, the screen of this smartphone will only display Full HD.
Recently, a group of researchers has combined with a manufacturer to successfully study a new technology which allows smartphone’s screen to display easily a 4K resolution content in a stable frame speed of 30 pfs. The unexpected thing is not only because this is an software engineering, but also because it does not consume much power thereby ensuring battery life for mobile devices. Researchers can even increase the frame speed to 60 fps when using this new technology. This could be a solution for smartphones manufacturers to consider the assurance of battery life on smartphone with high resolution screen. This tecchnology, however, has been developed since 2012. The Japanese manufacturer perfected it so it can work operation in real time mode by software without upgrading the hardware. It also means that when this technology is popular, smartphones of our time can display video and image in 4K quality instead of changing to another 4K smartphone which is really good for the users’ budget. This unique technology paves the way to the quality content can 4K popular on mobile devices. While with the common tasks on smartphones like watching videos, pictures, web surfing, 4K resolution seems to be superfluous but it is a prerequisite for the development of virtual reality technology. However, the reseachers also have a big ambition: they will not ignore the most exciting markets of the world: smart devices such as smartphones and tablets. When we use a smartphone or tablet is almost the largest energy consumption belongs to the touchscreen and backlight. With new technology configured in separated layers, it can significantly reduce power consumption to display and keep the devices running all week.

New material which ends the era of charging smartphone once a day

A group of scientists of Oxford University in Britain has discovered a new material which can create a breakthrough for the display devices manufacturing industry. This is a material which has an ability to create a touch screen with ultra-low energy consumption and still show vivid color, resolution and contrast even under extreme sunlight.
Scientists of the group revealed that they are working negotiations with several consumer electronics companies to the world's largest technology transfer. Maybe in a few years, this new display technology will completely replace the touch screen today, ending a period of days smartphone charger once. We can create a whole new market – one of those scientists said in an interview – if you own a smart device, you will need to charge it every single day. In the future, you only have to charge it once a week.
The unit which develops this material is a spin-off company from Oxford university. The technology of the future screen has not been revealed, however, some exquisite scientists have realized that it may be made of phase change materials or germanium antimony tellurium.
Those materials had  appeared in the paper published last year by the scientists of the group. They created this material with a thickness of 7nm and they inserted two transparent electrode layer. Those layers are organized in order and they provide a line of ultra-low power. Even so, it was enough to create a flat or curved arbitrary capable color display for the smartphone.
At first, the images can only be created using electron force microscopy. However, the researchers then were able to prove that the layers of GST can create normal pixels as usual. Those are micro pixels which are only 300x300 nm and they can be turned off and on however you like to create dots of colors. This is the basis of a display technology of extremely high resolution. The researchers say the screens that they are targeting will have sizes ultra-vivid color, high-resolution and super good visibility of the smartphone under sunlight. All these features make the new material especially suitable for the exquisite display device such as smart glass, foldable screens, windshields and even artificial retina - researchers said.
